Beauty Gone Unappreciated!!!

It's so strange that a place should be so beautiful and there is no one to appreciate the beauty of it. Well, there might be - only if they are allowed to. Nagaland is such a wonderful place. I mean its scenic setting. Tall mountains, fluffy clouds resting on mountain tops, clear blue sky, thick green forests, lovely valleys and streams winding their way through it. All the usual ingredients of a paradise on earth. Sadly, it is such an insignificant spot on the tourist map.

I would attribute it to the sorry state of political and civil affairs in the state. The people of Nagaland definitely wish that their land be appreciated for what it is. But a handful of them try to uphold certain values and at the same time want to get appreciated for 'what is not.' No one seems to be serious about taking advantage of the land's beauty to make it a tourist spot which, I am sure, will be a hot one if well planned. I wish it would change and more tourists flock to this state.
